Hi, I'm actually downloading this distribution... The reason is that I downloaded BT4 Final and I found it hard to install 0penvas on it so before downgrading to BT3 (that has it by default) I wanted to try Shadowcircle just to see how it goes

We are currently looking looking for a good replacement of the milw0rm exploits repository and exploits news feed. We already have a clue about which currently active projects would best fit but we need your opinion on this. ;-)

Shadowcircle release number: 1.0 RC1

Symptoms: the current version of xfce keymap changer doesn't support HAL, which
has two consequences:

- no more than 4 keymap can be handled
- even when the good keymap is choosen, mapping issues occur.

Reproductibility: ALWAYS

initial conditions: sytem running X with XKB, hald running.

Reproduction Procedure: None

Additional Debug Informations: None

Workarround description: if you have issue with the xfce keymap changer or doesn't even have your keymap available in it, just use setxkbmap your_keymap from an xterm.

[NORMAL] issues opening new connections with OpenVAS GUI client.

Symptoms: When trying to connect to an openvasd session, the OpenVAS client GUI may freeze while trying to load the plugins.

Reproductibility: OFTEN

initial conditions: sytem running with X.

Reproduction Procedure: On the desktop, go to tools=>OpenVAS Vulns Scanner then run
OpenVAS Quickstart. Go again to tools=>OpenVAS Vulns Scanner and run OpenVAS Service start.
Go again to tools=>OpenVAS Vulns Scanner and run OpenVAS CLient (GUI). Once in the openVAS client,
try to make a connection to the local damon.

Additional Debug Informations: None

Workarround description: restart the openvasd daemon with /etc/init.d/openvas restart. Then retry to connect with the OpenVAS client. If it still fails, try to regenerate the certificate and login informations by running in tools=>OpenVAS Vulns Scanner=>OpenVAS Quickstart, restart the daemon and retry to connect. If the issue remains, check the /usr/local/var/log/openvas/openvas.dump file for faulty plugins and remove them from /usr/local/lib/openvas-plugins. In final resort try to perform an update of the openvas plugins , by running shadow-update.
